We are a church in the Merrimack Valley area of Massachusetts next to southern New Hampshire that draws folks from Londonderry, Derry, Hampstead, Windham, Pelham, Salem, Dracut, Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill, Bradford and surrounding areas as well as a number of students from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Gordon College. We welcome any students and faculty from Zion Bible College in Bradford, MA as they relocate to the area. We are part of a family of churches known as Sovereign Grace Ministries under the leadership of C.J. Mahaney along with Dave Harvey, Joshua Harris and Jeff Purswell. We are a church planting movement with numerous church plants in the U.S. and overseas. We are reformed and charismatic or calvinistic and continuationist in our doctrine. We value Christ centeredness or gospel centeredness as most important and our understanding of the doctrines of grace flow from this perspective. We are evangelical and value the bible as God's authoritative word fully sufficient and inerrant and our rule for life and godliness. We are presbyterian in our polity while retaining aspects of congregational and episcopal polity. We value components of a missional mindset while retaining an ecclesiology that emphasizes on worship and body life as key goals for the church. We do not operate independantly but in conjunction with our family of churches within a close relationship with many other church movements and leaders both current and historic. We have great affinity for present leaders such as John Piper, Al Mohler, Mark Dever, Ligon Duncan, R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur, Tim Keller, Mark Driscoll, J.I. Packer, D.A. Carson and others. We look to many forefathers for counsel in the Christian life. This would include Augustine of Hippo, John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Owen, John Bunyan, George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, William Wilberforce, Charles Spurgeon, William Carey, Abraham, Kuyper, C.S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, Cornelius Van Til and many others. We certainly are not alone in our journey! We are full of people from different background. We have many homeshooling families but do not have a stance on homeschooling as a church. We are politically nuetral but not morally neutral and speak on moral matters as they pertain to politics or science or whatever field. We seek to be actively involved in our culture, enjoying and contributing to its good and seeking to redeem it for Christ. We are not classicly "seeker friendly" but seek to be friendly to all. We worship with contemporary and traditional music enjoying communion twice a month, worshiping also under the leadership of elders with appropriate prophetic words. confession of sin, congregational readings, corporate prayer and corporate affirmations of creeds. We have many families, senior citizens, young people and children. We are 25 minutes north of Boston and desire to draw students from the many colleges in the region including Harvard College, Tufts College, MIT, Boston College, Merrimack College, Boston University, Berklee College of Music and Northeastern University. Please come and visit us when you can!"
